SIZE GUIDE

SISTER FAYE STUDIO sewing patterns are built on a 5'6" (168 cm) individual using Size 10 on the chart below. The patterns are drafted for an A cup, which does not actually refer to your bra cup sizing. In sewing patterns the cup size is determined by taking your Upper Bust measurement and subtracting it by your Bust measurement. A cup = 1” difference, B cup= 2” difference, C cup = 3” difference, and so on.

It is important to consult the Finished Measurements Chart and the Body Measurements chart because the ease in each garment will vary and you may need to size up or down depending on your desired fit.

Begin by measuring your upper bust and bust, then compare those measurements to the body measurements chart. Each pattern will let you know which measurement you should prioritize, but focusing on the upper bust measurement will help ensure the best fit through the shoulders and armholes. For pants, measure around the largest part of your hip and use that as a starting point from the chart. You can easily make the waist darts larger if necessary and by choosing the hip measurement you are ensuring adequate ease through the bum.
