This pattern was designed for a light to mid-weight fabric. It would be perfect for cotton poplin or shirting, linen, viscose, lawn or cotton/linen blends. I even tested it in a lightweight denim (under 7oz) and it still draped beautifully. Due to the extra thickness of french seams and the neckline gathering, I do not suggest heavier fabrics.
